A new world of visual stimulation.
Music to Your Eyes is an exploration of harmony through visual stimulation. We choose to explore colour and form in our work as a way to ignite a sensation and engage the viewer, leaving them with a sense of overwhelming optimism and joy. Ultimately it is our way in which we describe our work—as visual music. Similar in concept to audible music, everything we look at and engage with has its own rhythm.
Using existing work from the exhibition, we wanted to create a piece that felt visually cohesive while taking it to a new dimension. We ultimately saw VR as a method of adding a third room into the exhibition for all to immerse themselves within. Our goal was to simultaneously work with materials and knowledge we already had but also to push ourselves into new territories where our work had not yet lived, and for us, that was Virtual Reality.
